Record distance, duration, moving and stopped time, average speed and maximum speed. An ongoing notification keeps an active trip recording when the screen is off or another app is visible. Afterwards, review saved routes, trip reports, and speed and altitude graphs on your phone.
Windshield HUD and personal speed alerts.
Use the mirrored head-up display with adjustable brightness and direction. Set your own speed warning with sound and vibration. Set up the phone before moving and never operate it while driving. Alerts use your chosen threshold; they do not identify posted road speed limits or speed cameras.
For car journeys, bike rides and train travel.
Use your phone as a car speedometer, check motorcycle or cycling speed, or follow your speed as a passenger on a train. Knots are available for boat trips. All readings depend on your phone receiving a usable GPS signal.
Does the speedometer work offline?
Yes. Live speed, trip recording, saved reports, graphs and recorded route traces work without mobile data or Wi-Fi. Location permission and a usable GPS signal are still required. Street-map tiles in Live Map, ads and purchases need internet. Live Map shows your trip rather than providing turn-by-turn directions.
What is included with Speedo Pro?
Core speed tracking, trip recording, HUD and speed alerts are available without Pro. The optional one-time purchase removes ads and unlocks GPX, KML and CSV trip exports, including an option to hide route ends. There is no subscription.
Your journeys stay on your phone.
No account is required. Your recorded routes and trip history are stored on your device. Ads appear in saved trip summaries and occasionally after trips, away from the live speedometer and HUD.
How accurate is GPS speed?
Readings vary with device hardware, placement, sky view and signal conditions. Tunnels, buildings and other obstructions can reduce reception. Speedo displays GPS information to help you understand the reading; it does not promise perfect accuracy.
