Information stored on your device
The App may store the following information locally:
- Favorite and saved Bible verses
- Journal and reflection entries
- Selected Bible translation and card theme
- Reminder, music, haptic, and other App settings
- Advertising consent and remove-ads entitlement status
This information remains on your device unless you choose to share content, create or share a backup, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.
Backup and restore
Backup files are created only when you request them. You choose where a backup is saved or shared through Android’s system file interface. A backup may contain saved verses, journal entries, reflections, and settings so they can be restored later.
Sharing
The App can share a verse or card through Android’s system sharing interface. Sharing occurs only after you choose the Share action and select a destination.
Advertising and consent
The free version uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display banner and interstitial advertisements. Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for and stores your advertising consent choices.
Google advertising services may automatically process information such as:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Advertising ID, App Set ID, or similar device identifiers
- App and advertisement interactions, views, and clicks
- Device and operating-system information
- Diagnostic, performance, crash, and energy-usage information
Google uses this information for advertising and marketing, measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Information sent to Google services is encrypted in transit.
Google processes this information under its own privacy policy:

Remove Ads purchase
The App offers an optional one-time purchase to remove banner and interstitial ads. Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. The developer does not receive or store your full payment-card or banking details.
The App and Google Play may exchange purchase-related information such as the product identifier, purchase token, transaction and acknowledgement status, Play Store region, App version, and entitlement status. This information is used to complete, verify, restore, and manage the purchase.
Reminders and notifications
If you enable Daily Hope reminders, the App may request notification permission and schedule a local notification at the time you select. Reminder settings are stored on your device and can be changed or disabled in the App or Android settings.
Information the App does not request
The App does not require access to your contacts, microphone, camera, call history, SMS messages, or installed-app list. It does not require your name, email address, or phone number for its core features.
Support communications
If you contact support, the developer may receive your email address and any information you voluntarily include, such as screenshots, device details, or diagnostic descriptions. Support communications are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve the issue, maintain appropriate records, or meet legal obligations.
Data sharing
The developer does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by Google Mobile Ads, User Messaging Platform, and Google Play Billing only as needed to provide advertising, consent, and purchase functions. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, enforce legal rights, prevent fraud, or protect users and the public.
Security
The App relies on Android’s application sandbox and platform security features to protect locally stored information. Communications with supported Google services use encrypted network connections. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly request or collect personal information directly from children.
Your choices
Depending on your device, region, and applicable law, you may change advertising consent through the App’s privacy choices, reset or restrict your advertising identifier, disable reminders, delete saved content, clear the App’s local data, uninstall the App, or contact the developer regarding a privacy request.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when App features, service providers, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
