Summary

Radio directory, search, and streaming
The App connects to the community-run Radio Browser directory to download station names, stream addresses, languages, tags, countries, regions, and related station metadata. Search terms you enter are sent to the Radio Browser service to return matching stations. Radio Browser may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and user agent under its own policies.
When you play or test a station, your device connects directly to the station's stream host or content-delivery network. Those operators can receive ordinary network request information, including your IP address, and process it under their own privacy policies. Vintage Radio does not control third-party broadcasters or stream hosts.
Optional approximate location
If you turn on Local FM based on location, the App asks Android for approximate location permission. The App uses the resulting coordinates to calculate nearby stations and may use Android's geocoding service to identify a locality, region, and country. The station-directory request contains the country code; precise coordinates are not sent to Radio Browser by the App.
The developer does not receive, store, or build a history from your location. Android's location and geocoding providers may process location information under their own policies. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in Android Settings; online station search and playback remain available.
Information stored on your device
The App stores settings, receiver state, favorites, recently played stations, custom station details, cached directory entries, and recording metadata in app-private storage. Audio recordings you choose to make are saved in the App's external-files directory. This information is not uploaded to an aaronsedna server.
You can remove locally stored information by deleting recordings, clearing the App's storage, or uninstalling the App. Because Vintage Radio has no account system or first-party cloud database, there is no separate Vintage Radio account to delete.
Advertising and consent
The free version may display native ads within the scrolling station directory. It may also show a preloaded full-screen interstitial only at a natural transition back to the tuner after extended use. Interstitials are frequency-capped and do not appear on launch, exit, station selection, during playback or recording, or within consent and purchase flows. Vintage Radio uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google's User Messaging Platform. Where required, the App requests consent before requesting ads and provides Ad privacy controls in Settings.
Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device or other identifiers, IP address and approximate location derived from it, app and ad interactions, and diagnostics used to deliver, measure, secure, and prevent abuse of advertising services. This processing is governed by Google's policies and your consent choices. Active Premium subscribers do not receive ad requests from the App.

Google Play subscriptions
Vintage Radio uses Google Play Billing directly to offer an auto-renewing Premium subscription that removes ads. The App queries Google Play for product information and active purchases, launches Google's checkout, and acknowledges completed purchases.
Google Play processes payment details. Vintage Radio does not receive or store your payment-card information and does not maintain its own purchase-history database. You can restore purchases in the App or manage the subscription through Google Play.
Sharing and disclosure
The developer does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by Google Mobile Ads and its partners for advertising and consent management, by Google Play for subscriptions, by Android's location or geocoding provider when you request nearby stations, by Radio Browser for station discovery, and by broadcasters or stream hosts when your device accesses their audio.
Data retention and security
Local settings, station information, and recordings remain until you delete them, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App. Third-party services retain information according to their own policies. The App uses Android's app storage and permission systems and encrypted HTTPS connections where supported by each directory, broadcaster, or stream provider. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Children's privacy
Vintage Radio is a general-audience music and audio app and is not specifically designed for children. The App does not knowingly operate a first-party system for collecting children's personal information. Advertising is subject to the App's Google Play target-audience settings, Google Mobile Ads configuration, applicable law, and consent choices.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when App features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available at this URL.
